Speaking of the Dog...

I forgot to mention that I am now cooking for Sasha. I barely cook for my husband, let alone myself and now I have to cook for my dog! I will say though that she is doing much much better now and I can't even tell you the last time she threw up. Knock on wood.

Her meals now consist of ground beef, brown rice, chopped canned carrots and peas. I make a big batch, separate them and freeze them. We take two out the night before to make sure it's thawed.

When we've run out of my home cooking and I haven't had a chance to make more, we give her a great alternative. It's a natural refrigerated dog food called Freshpet Select. We get the homestyle selection. She usually only has this once or twice before I make her next batch.

Sasha loves her menu these days!
