Friday: I (yes, I) made fried chicken, wings and french fries for Jim and his friends...and myself. They were delicious if I do say so myself, but omg I could feel the peanut oil running through my veins. It's all good- I'll run it off tomorrow.
Saturday: Ran 4.5 miles and decided to reward myself with the Chipotle burrito bowl. With extra rice. And extra tomatoes. Did I mention it was carnitas? Shit...there goes my run.
Sunday: We woke up and found ourselves sitting at the House of Pies. No, I didn't have a pie for breakfast. How dare you think I could do such a thing! Instead, I had: 2 eggs sunny side up, 10 pieces of crispy fried bacon (okay maybe not 10, but it sure looked like it was 10) and a stack of buttermilk pancakes. Emphasis on the 'butter.' And a gallon of syrup. My thoughts? Well, today is shot so I might as well just eat healthy after the long weekend.
Sunday night: Oh, Sunday isn't over just yet. A friend of ours was having a fish fry and that's where we were headed. We got to their house a litle before 7pm and I took my first bite at exactly 7. And I ate. Until 10pm. For 3 straight hours. Well, at least 10pm was the last time I looked at the clock. After that, I was cross eyed from being so full, I could no longer see straight. In three hours, I logged in the following: a handful of tortilla chips dipped in love sauce and some dipped in cheese, a few pieces of lebanon balogna with cream cheese (Jim's specialty), 4 (huge) pieces of bacon wrapped shrimp straight off the grill, 4 (huge) pieces of bacon wrapped shrimp with jalapeno and cream cheese also straight off the grill, 4 pieces of freshly fried redfish straight from the gulf and cast iron skillet with hot sauce, a mound of homemade macaroni and cheese and a strawberry cupcake (my contribution to the fish fry was dessert). I ate so much that I had to unbutton and partially unzip my jeans that I was so happy to fit in at the beginning of the night. This is Gluttony at its finest, folks.
When we finally got home Sunday night, I knew that I would have nightmares - I just knew it! Anytime I'm ever sickly full, I have nightmares and sure enough, I did! Argh. I woke up at around 4am and literally felt sick to my stomach. I was sweating like you wouldn't believe and really felt like I had to throw up. My poor tummy was pushed to its limit...and I'm sure it knew that it was too early to be Thanksgiving.
Needless to say, I feel like I'm in detox right now.
