If there's one person that's sure to be rid of 2009, it's me! I started to do a year in review, but I just deleted it all. Y'all know how this year was, so no need to repeat it and frankly, I'd rather not go through it over again. Let's just keep it simple, shall we? I'm very happy to put this year behind me and am very much looking forward to 2010!
As far as my New Year's Resolution(s) go - well, my resolution is to succeed. In a nutshell, my resolutions are found in the following poem and every line in this poem is exactly how I'm feeling for the new year!
Success by Ralph Waldo Emerson
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
